Based on my experience working as an Oracle DB consultant at many customer sites, I have created this lecture centered on the essential core elements to grow as an Oracle DB performance diagnosis and tuning expert, as well as the content that I have guided my fellow consultants to perform performance diagnosis and improvement consulting easily and quickly .
The lecture includes a detailed explanation of the core mechanisms of Oracle architecture and Wait Events, which are essential elements for Oracle performance analysis, a process for diagnosing and improving Oracle performance through AWR, and a methodology for improved DB architecture.
It also consists of many analysis exercises and various analysis cases so that you can acquire Oracle DB performance expertise.
We clearly explain the core Oracle technologies and architecture that you must know for performance analysis and tuning.
Oracle's architecture and functions are so vast that it takes a very long time to learn them all. In addition, it is the main reason why people give up studying Oracle DB because they are caught up in many minor technologies/knowledge .
This course focuses on the basic knowledge and core Oracle architecture that you absolutely need to become a DBMS expert. Based on these DBMS fundamentals, we will help you easily understand and apply core technologies across DBMS.
To understand DB , you need to apply various actual loads and see how the DB's performance indicators change .
To this end, we build a practical environment by configuring an actual database of about 40 GB on an Oracle Cloud VM with 2 CPU Cores and 256 GB SSD Storage, and perform performance diagnosis and analysis practice by applying various types of loads to the practical DB using the SwingBench Benchmark tool.
We also provide detailed information on the optimal methodology for performance analysis and conduct repetitive analysis exercises to ensure that you fully acquire it.
You can learn more in-depth about how to analyze DB performance and architecture issues and suggest solutions based on consulting data analyzed from actual customer sites .
Through this, you will gain a broader understanding of various performance issue cases that may arise during DB operation, and further experience the work performed by DB performance diagnosis/improvement consultants .
This course does not cover SQL tuning.
The practical environment for the lecture is built on Oracle Cloud . Oracle Cloud provides one month of free credit to use Oracle DBMS on 2 core CPU and 250GB SSD.
