What you will learn!

  • Object mode and edit mode

  • How to use modifiers

  • Create objects by transforming basic shapes

  • Rendering with camera, lights and materials

Hello. This is Code Mode!

I run a channel on YouTube where I create Blender animations and upload tutorials, and I have experience conducting Blender basics online classes at the Gyeonggi Education and Welfare Center. While teaching Blender to many people , I realized that most people are building buildings with poor fundamentals because they blindly follow along without knowing the principles.

If you follow along and suddenly get different results, you don't know why, and if you make something a little different, problems arise and you can't solve them, so it's hard to make it the way you want other than following along. I thought , let's make a lecture where you can build a solid foundation by observing the problems that learners face and solving them together! And that's how I created the friendly Blender series. And this lecture is the first of those, the 'LV. 0 Introductory Essentials' course.

Friendly Blender Curriculum

Essential Introduction (This Course)

Basic Modeling

Modeling Practice

It's okay if it's your first time using a 3D program. We'll start with the essentials and work your way up step by step!

Learn the most basic functions and create your own pieces by arranging basic shapes.
This course teaches you how to create 3D works through modeling and rendering processes.

I recommend this to these people!

This is my first time using Blender
What to start with
For those who don't know where to start

Follow the basic tutorial
It's blocked, what is it?
For those who don't know if it's a problem

It's okay to watch and follow along
The work I want
Someone who finds it difficult to make

Why is it a 'friendly' blender?

#1.
Kind Principle

Rather than blindly following, I explain the basic principles and reasons. If you know the principles and reasons, you will have the power to solve problems when they arise, and you can create what you want yourself rather than simply following.

#2.
A friendly metaphor

Visual aids help you understand difficult principles, make lectures less boring and help you remember them longer.

#3.
Friendly organization

There is a process of reviewing and summarizing at the end. If you visually organize the parts you saw in the previous explanations, you will remember them longer, right?

#4.
Friendly editing

This is a lecture that has gone through a meticulous editing process and has no idle time. We have minimized the waste of time! After recording, we edited it and re-recorded and additionally recorded any missing parts so that you can take the lecture without skipping anything.

If you learn Blender, you can make things like this too!

The Simpsons Room
hammer to break stone
A room with various elements
Connecting portal passage

Q&A
💬

Q. Why should I learn Blender?

Blender is a program with a lot of features and it's free! It's a good program to try out when you're wondering if you're good at 3D. It's also great for learning as a hobby and for those who want to create their own animations or videos.

If you are learning for employment, it may be a good idea to learn a program that is widely used in that field. It is true that Blender is still relatively less well-known in Korea and is not used much by companies. It is natural because there are programs that were used before. However, companies that use Blender are gradually emerging and it is widely used overseas. Blender's importance will increase in Korea in the future!

Q. Are there subtitles?

Yes! You can see the explanations and shortcuts in subtitles for your convenience. It will be easier to understand if you see them in writing than just listening to the difficult explanation. You can memorize the shortcuts more quickly because you can see not only what you pressed but also what function the shortcuts have!

Q. Can non-majors also take the course?

Yes, you can do it even if you don't major in video or design. The most difficult part of drawing a three-dimensional picture is perspective and angle. In Blender, if you place an object close to or far from the camera, perspective will be created naturally, and if you add light, shadows will be created automatically, so even if you can't draw, you can make it pretty.

Of course, there are exceptions, such as sculpting or texture painting, but the modeling and rendering you learn in this video are basic steps that anyone can do if they follow along diligently and have the will to create!

Q. What do I need to prepare to take this course?

  • computer
I recommend a desktop computer . For detailed recommended specifications, please check the link below. A laptop is also possible, but rendering work in 3D requires a lot of graphics card performance, and it may be inconvenient because Blender uses the numpad (the number pad to the right of the arrow keys) a lot.
Check your computer specifications for Blender
  • mouse
    I need a mouse with a wheel .
  • Keyboard
    I recommend a keyboard with a numpad .
  • (Optional) Tablet PC or dual monitor
Since there are many functions and the nature of the videos involves stopping in the middle to follow along, it is useful to have a tablet PC or dual monitors to watch the videos at the same time and follow along.

Q. What should I do if something gets blocked?

If you get stuck in the middle, it becomes difficult to proceed to the next step. We understand your frustration, so we are always open to questions. For inquiries regarding Infraon service operation, please use 1:1 inquiry.
