Learning through stories, for complete beginners
True network fundamentals!
When you first learn about networks, do you still learn TCP/IP? Networks are the infrastructure that transmits data, that is, the physical technology. It is absolutely impossible to understand networks without understanding network equipment. You must understand how data is transmitted. You cannot understand the principles of networks without learning TCP/IP a hundred times.
Many people who are studying networks for the first time learn TCP/IP and OSI 7 layers. However, such technologies are difficult for network beginners to learn, and they only cause frustration when studying. Such technologies should be learned after the basics of networks are established. No, if I were a network-related program developer, I should learn them then.
I will give lectures as if I am explaining to a friend, colleague, or junior next to you. All you have to do is listen. The knowledge you need before taking the lecture... Just give it to me! Just listen.
Anyone who needs networking basics can take this course.
Anyone who needs to understand networking terminology for business purposes
Anyone who needs to understand the overall network concept for developing network programs
Cisco, Network Administrator, etc. Those who want to obtain network field certifications
Anyone who wants to manage their company or home network directly
People working in network-related fields
For those who want to understand the router better and use it skillfully
Studying networks means understanding how data is transmitted through networks. Therefore, understanding the equipment that makes up a network is essential to studying networks. In this course, we will learn how data is transmitted through networks, tailored to those who are new to networks.
📜 Things to know before learning
I am a Cisco Systems Certified Instructor (not now) and have been teaching networking courses for over 20 years. I wanted to create a course that would teach networking fundamentals in the fastest, most fun, and most accurate way possible.
Many network basic learners start their networking journey by learning TCP/IP and OSI 7-layer (called data communication theory) that do not match their level. And they get frustrated. Networking is a comprehensive technology that combines hardware and software that transmit data. Network basics should be approached thoroughly from the perspective of data transmission.
📖 The class will be conducted through the PPT presentation screen and board. Just watch and listen.
After you diligently attend the lectures, you will no longer be afraid of the terms used in the network field. Furthermore, you will be able to read basic books on the network field on your own, and after that, you will be able to study by reading network books that are appropriate for your level. This is a course that will lay the foundation for you to study networks on your own.
Hello. I am Youngsoo Kye, a professional instructor in the network and infrastructure field.
If you search for my name “Gyeyoungsu” on YouTube, you can see many lectures. (Go to channel)
Q. Is there any prerequisite knowledge required for learning?
None at all.
Q. Does the course include practical training?
Since this is a network basics course, it is all theory classes. However, since the latter half of the lecture explains the basic network concepts using a router, learners can follow along with the practice using their own routers if they wish.
Q. What happens after taking this course?
If you have followed this lecture faithfully, you will be able to easily read books on the market that have “Network Basics” in the title. Since my lecture cannot be perfect, after studying this lecture, if you read a few network books (you will read them quickly~), you will be able to figure out and decide on your own the network learning path necessary for your job and career.
Who is this course right for?
For those who are new to networking
Anyone who has studied networks before and failed
People who stopped studying networks after studying only the OSI 7 layers
For those who want to study networks as if they were listening to a story
Need to know before starting?
No prior knowledge required.

1. I don't think it's necessary to go into detail about base conversion. --> It's necessary to understand the concept of subnet mask!!! 2. I think the data transmission method (supplement) can be deleted. There are a lot of unnecessary words. (This is going to be difficult. It's going to be hard to understand... etc.) 3. I took the course to learn the knowledge to apply vehicle internet. I was very satisfied because I was able to learn much more knowledge than I needed. However, I deducted one star because the Inflearn platform does not allow review. Other platforms allow you to review the courses you have taken for life, or at least for a year.

They explain concepts that can be difficult from the basics as easily and understandably as possible. After finishing all these lectures, I even feel like taking the very next network lecture! It's really rewarding to learn the things I used to just roughly skip over, one by one!
Thank you for the good feedback. Instructor Gye Young-soo
